Monitor Viewing Problems

Is there some way I can reset my monitor? The desktop themes are also dark. I have a EV700 monitor running on a Windows Me system. I tried the information in the manual but it does not work! Also tried using the fly wheel but it is so dark that I cannot read it. Please help!!

The one for the monitor?
And which information did you try that didn't work?

What does it adjust?
Brightness?
Contrast?

Do you have adjustment controls on the monitor?
If I remember right...
The normal way to adjust brightness & contrast, is to turn the brightness down until the screen is almost black, then turn up the contrast until you think it looks good.

Is this a new occurrence? Did you suddenly turn on your computer and it was dark? Did anything happen to the computer that lead up to this?
