i am in the midst of setting up a multimedia pc for video editing, creating movies and so on. could any pls provide the best config for me? tq

What you will need is the following:

A motherboard that supports Firewire and SATA. Firewire is the best way to transfer digital video and SATA is the fastest hard drive technology.

I would get a DVD burner to burn the DVDS .

The fastest processor you can afford.

The most RAM you can afford.

The "best" config depends on your budget, too. Also, there are some major CPU/platform changes coming in just a few more months. Unless you need your new system right now, I would suggest waiting and see what happens.
