Ok This is my problem.

I have two computers in my house. Both access the internet via wireless lan cards one internal one external USB.

They can both connect and access the internet fine until they both visit the same forum.

This problem doesnt seem to happen with VB(eg this forum)
But it happens with Invision. And the main problem with that is that i have an Invision forum and me and my girlfriend can not log on at the same time from the two computers. This is what happens il log into the forum under my account and then wait until she logs in.And as soon as she logs in i will be logged out.

Basicaly whoever refreshes last will log the other person out. This is getting really annoying now and i hope someone can help me out.

I have contacted my BB provider and they dont seem to have any idea what the problem is.

Any help?....please?lol

Check the cookie settings.
I am willing to bet the board is tracking by IP adress
and when you log on you are seen as admin.
then the second log in and it is seen as user.
from the same IP.
the security is kicking in and you out

Cookie settings are fine checked those already.Sites are allowed to leave cookies. And are cleared when i log out and close FireFox.

And also i tried this with one of us using IE and the other usinf FF and that didnt help either. And how could the IP addresses be the same they are two different computers with two different IP addresses and lan cards and its only Invision.

Unless you mean the router is the same.
That cant be helped sadly.

Unless there are seperate internet connections for each computer then you must be using some kind of router to share the internet. While each computer has its own private address within your network, the IP being seen on the net will be the IP of the router, which will be shared between both computers making them look like the same machine to anyone you connect to.

It may be that the forum you are having trouble with is configured not to allow multiple logins from the same IP, resulting in you or your girlfriend being logged off when the other logs on.

I figured it was that we were using the same router......
Is there anyway to set it up so as we can both use it?
Without being networked with the other computer as the rest of my family use the other computer and goes without saying i always remove a tonne of malware from the other machine and this computer is fully my own and i am the sole user of it so i dont want any malware spreading to me

If it is a matter of the forum configuration then there is really nothing you can do that I know of. Allowing only one logon from an IP is often a spam reduction measure. You might email the forum admin and ask, but I don't hold out a lot of hope.

If I recall correctly, a large number of the programs to run a forum come with one logon by IP set as the default...
