Hello everyone, I seem to have run into a bit of trouble the last few days. I recently installed a XFX 6800 XT. Everything seemed to be fine, however, occasionally when I turn my PC on the monitor will not get a signal. A few shutdown/reboots corrects the problem. Any ideas?

Is there an error or beep code?
Since you messed around inside the case by installing that vid card, I would start there. Open it back up and check and double-check everything. Reseat the RAM, unplug & replug all cables, check the vid card to make sure it's snugly in its slot, and think about your CMOS battery.

Ok, few things to check:
1) Is the graphics card installed properly in its slot?
2) If it is, is the molex/pcie connector connected properly (if it requires one)?
3) If it is, is the cable it is attached to have any other peripherals attached to it? If so, disconnect the other hardware and reconnect them using a separate power cable.
4) Is this has no effect, what is your power supply and does it carry at least 17A on the 12V+ rail? (I ask cos I've got this card and it is a bit power hungry even if it isn't that fast).
5) Did you install the latest drivers from nvidia (84.21)? I can verify that they work well with this card.
6) Are your other external connections secure?
Ok, I'm spent. Let me know if this has been of any help.
