Howdy
I just picked up a new PIII 850 for my Hp Pavilion at the local computer store.
They said fairly easy job to install and confirmed what I found on the HP tech site.
1 jumper change( FSB from 66mhz to 100mhz.)
Also HP tech said with the 810 chipset I have no bios upgrade is needed.
Can anyone add any comments to help me out before I shutdown and take it apart.
466 celeron runs good just had to do it for the enjoyment and speed. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif

thanks

Ground yourself. Leave the machine plugged in. (Unplugging it removes the ground path). If you bend any pins, A mechanical pencil (minus lead) works good for straightening them. While you're in there, blow the dust out with some compressed air. Underware should not be worn on the outside.
