I've got an ASUS P2B rev1.02 motherboard, and I'd like to upggrade to a PIII 800E.

The problem is that my P2B is an old one (rev1.02), and thus can't provide the required voltage to the PIII (which is 1.6v - the P2B can't go under 1.8v)

So the only solution is to use a slocket slot1->FCPGA with an on-board voltage regulator (so that it will ask 1.8v to the motherboard, and then give 1.6v to the PIII)

But I can't find a model with this feature (they never precise wether or not they do this)

Does anyone have a model suggestion ?

Many thanks,

Greetings hubert http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/cool.gif

I've never met a single person who had something good to say about slot/socket adapters. I dont see why you figure this is the only solution though. If you've got an ATX case, a new motherboard should bolt right up. Granted, this is more expensive, but worth the cost if the adapter is going to give you the headaches I'm told it will.
