AGP 1X and 2X difference

I have an older computer with an AGP port (original..1X, I pretty sure). The ATI All-in-Wonder Rage128 16 Mb video card is an AGP 4X card, backward compatible with 2X. Might be silly question, but will it work with my computer. Thanks.

I would say "probably" it should werk (don't know of any reason why I wouldnt)
Alot of older MoBo's (Unless it was like the 1st AGP board that ever came out heh) even though they dont actually have a setting for AGP2x, with a BIOS update will run at 2x on an automatic basis.
Since I dont know exactly what MoBo you have cant really answer that question.
