My friend has a P1 gateway 200 Mhz with 32 mb RAM
I was curious if anyone knows how much ram can be put into that?

Depends on the motherboard and chipset. Some chipsets will only cache 64MB, mainly the Intel 430 series, many will take as much as you can find chips to stuff in. With a 1st generation Pentium it's likely to have 72 pin SIMM memory installed, so you would be limited to the size of the chips times 4 chips, and they have to be used in pairs. With DIMM you're only limited by the number of slots available and how much you can afford. In my case that's one 64MB chip. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
