A relative asked if I would help put location to the following photos. I said I know just the folks to help you out! ;)

Here they are:

Nice one, Jiggy. :D

I'm not much more help, Whyzman. I thought I saw the Space Needle (Seattle) in one of them, but after looking up some pix of the needle, I don't think that's it.

Isn't there a similar looking structure in Toronto?

Yeah, I think the third picture is the Toronto Skyline. Look (http://www.duskart.com/photography/l2002/20021004-canada-ontario-toronto-03-l.jpg).

There is an Abiata Restaurant at 3435 Rue St. Denis in Montreal.

Look at the satellite view of the area here (http://www.google.com/maphp?hl=en&tab=wl&complete=1&q=3435%20st%20denis%20montreal), and notice the tall building to the left. Could be the second picture...

Comfort Hotel Berlin Lichtenberg (http://ratestogo.com/Hotel.asp?HotelID=17029&akid=37143002)

From the [partial] sign on the rooftop which read "Berlin-Lichten___" I found Berlin Lichtenberg.
Needless to say it's in the city of Berlin in Gemany.

Here's (http://www.ethiopianrestaurant.com/restaurant_img/canada_abiata_1.jpg) another photo of the Abiata, and here's (http://www.ethiopianrestaurant.com/restaurant_img/canada_abiata_2.jpg) an inside view if you're interested.

Lichtenberg is a borough of Berlin. I guess that photo could be anywhere in that area... Link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lichtenberg).

A little more help...these were photos sent to my wife's aunt of possible post-grad schools that her son and daughter-in-law sent. They wouldn't tell her which cities...only sent the photos...

Berlin I do believe is definitely one of the places. They lived in Germany for over a year shortly after they were married.

I'd say you're right on with the Abiata Restaurant in Montreal

I'd say the first photo, black and white is the Metroplitan Life Tower in New York.

The other black and white may just be Vancouver.

Pentachris got the Toronto CN Tower right.

Don't want to guess on the last one yet.

Edit...The last one is Budapest? Hungarian Parliament?

Yep, Hungarian Parliament it is. Link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Parlament_Budapest2.jpg).

(I never would've known)

I'm certainly not saying you're wrong, but I don't see anything here (http://images.google.com/images?complete=1&hl=en&q=martyrs%20square%20beirut&sa=N&tab=wi) to confirm that.

Martyr's Square has been rebuilt, I believe.

That sure looks like it... Arched windows on the buildings in the background also appear to match up...
