I have a music file saved on a floppy disk. The file format is m3u. I have been told that I need to install an MP3 player and that a free MP3 player can be downloaded from www.winamp.com. (http://www.winamp.com.)
Is an MP3 player neccessary and if so is the suggested free download a suitable route to take?
My O/S is Win 95. Processor is Cyrix 6x86 - 166.
I shall be grateful for all advice.

Hello nedah,
Winamp is a good mp3 player
You dont need winamp, other players can play mp3
An m3u file is nothing more then an index file for a song list its not an actual audio file
Hope that answers your questions.............

Winamp works very well, I've used it for a good while and like it pretty well, one of the better ones. Others are available too and some are pretty good. A search for MP3 players on Google (http://www.google.com) will probably turn up lots.
