That's odd, here in the UK Mother's Day was on 26th March. Ties in with Mothering Sunday, the 4th Sunday of Lent. Clearly yours has a different source to ours.

I went to Wikipedia after I submitted the post. Interesting to see that throughout the world Mother's Day occurs on quite a few different dates. With a bit of good planning mothers around the world could celebrate and have meals cooked for them several times a year. ;) Good luck to them.
