Okay, so the issue here is about my stand-alone DVD player, and NOT the one on my PC, but I thought someone here might be in the know on this one? Hope you can help.
My DVD player is an old bulky Phillips one (a gift from a friend who, since buying it, has gone up in the world of DVD players!). It's great machine, to say that it's so 'old' and generally plays all type of DVD, even copies.
HOWEVER....
Sometimes, when playing copies, it just decides that it can't be bothered and starts to jump. Put the copy in a day later and play it from that point and it DOES work again! Wierd. But that's not the wierdest part.
It WILL play the odd DVD+R that you present it with. In fact, most of them it does. But the other day I was watching a DVD+R and it went straight through, right until the VERY LAST chapter. Which it blatantly refused to play. I tried sticking it in my DVD player on the PC (which is fully DVD-R/DVD+R/DVD-RW/DVD+RW compatible) and the last chapter played absolutely fine, no problem at all.
So...why does my DVD player act so strangely??
Thanks.
