the two have nothing to do with each other, they are independant of each other.. what type ram do you currently have installed??
if your MB is not set up for DDR, then you can't.
the type ram you use, or are able to use is determined by your motherboard and system configuration.

I currently am using pc133, I'm wondering if ddr ram will work (granted at a slower speed). Since the price is about the same, I figured i'd get the better ram for future use too. Btw my motherboard is kt7a-raid, if that hlps at all.

Ok, I think I found the answer to my question. I guess ddr is different sized ie number of pins. So i guess it doesn't work. Looks like I'll have to buy a new mobo too http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif Its an addiction I swear. Any one have any recommendations?
