I assume you're looking for internal drives for desktop PCs. CDW states "4 or 5 days" for a Compaq model, you might give them a call. LS-120 (http://www.cdw.com/shop/products/default.asp?EDC=203942)

Just a question, but why LS120 Drives?
Zips are faster and you can get external, internal, IDE, USB, SCSI.
Probably a resonable answer though

Update: the CDW.com link says the product was discontinued 6-27-01. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif
Looks like desktop LS-120 drives are about as available as 5-1/4" diameter floppy drives, but a few sources are listed at PriceWatch.com (search: "LS-120 drive"). I'd try Axiontech.com first, they show the Panasonic (FDPALS120IDE) as being in stock.

The company wants to remove their Floopys, replace with LS120 (internal) as their isnt any spae bays and they feel less people will own LS120 than zips so not som many of the disks will disappear and less chance of people bringing in stuff from home.

Many thanks for all your help.

Don't think the LS-120 will achieve that objective. The LS-120 still reads standard 1.44MB floppies, is seen by the system as a standard A drive and is bootable as such, the 120MB disks are available at Wal Mart, etc, and as far as I know about the same price as zip disks, and anyone who is using floppies to transfer files either to or from the company computers will still be able to do so. Anyone willing to spring for zip disks to take to work will find it fairly easy to locate LS-120 disks and do the same...
About the only way to curtail the use of floppy drives for unauthorized file transfers is to disable the floppy drives in BIOS and remove them from the machines entirely. Or disable them in user profiles so only Administrator level access can access the floppy drives. Switching to LS-120 will slow it down a bit, but not too much...
