WinXP task manager processes

hi all,
in WindowsXP task manager, under the "Processes" tab, which are the processes that must be running, and which can be ended. Thanks in advance for the replies.

This can vary greatly from user to user. You can investigate each process in Process Explorer from here .....

It will tell you what each process does and may well show up if there's anything dodgy about it too.

You can use it to help you decide what you want running and what you want to stop but be careful what processes you stop. If you stop a vital process ... your whole system could be compromised.

Thank you Musicman, i m downloading "Process Explorer" . Hopefully, it will make me able to know the processes i can stop. I'll reply back if encountered any problems. Thanks again.
