There is just so much more to read into this story.
The driver of the van got hit by a tractor-trailer?
So much more.
I wish I could show you the video on our local news, that showed just how much new road was torn up, it takes a lot of 3 in. deep wet concrete to bring a police cruiser to a stop. The picture gives it no justice.

I love it...this is the kind of story that just screams "Nominate me for the Darwin Awards" (van driver).

The 3 inches is just the depth to the reinforcing steel, the cruiser was driving on the steel layer. The concrete will have to be completely removed and new steel laid, really $$$$$.
Loved that the perp lost it further down the road and got caught.
