Hello, I've been learning a lot from you all for quite some time (thanks for that) but have never personally asked a question.
I'm having increasing trouble keeping an internet connection (this has been going on for about a month). Sometimes I can't connect at all, other times I'm on and then suddenly off. I've talked to my server people several times, they say I'm connected but my connection is slow and they don't know why, they also don't know why I'm having problems. The telephone company tells me my line is clean. I have DSL, and regularly run Ad-Aware and Spybot plus have Avast antivirus. Avast just recently found CiVB-Gameoftheyear-dm.exe which they said is infected and is now in the virus chest. I don't know how that gameof theyear got there but problems started before Avast found it. Anyway, should I send you a hijackthis log? Would that help solve my problems?
Thanks

Thanks for responding. My log doesn't seem very long compared to others I've seen. And, why does it list Internet Explorer and not Firefox, which is what I mostly use?
Thanks.

There should be a bit more to it, but it looks like the posting limit has been reached, so if there is more, please add it.
As to the IE...IE is so integrated with the OS that it really is part of Windows and much of what affects it affects Windows as a whole. FF, on the other hand, is just a program that runs when you want it to...
