Can I connect a monitor to a game system?

My son has both a PS2 and an X Box. He wants to put a TV in his room for the systems but he's already run out of real estate in his bedroom. Is there some type of adapter so that he can connect either video game system to his PC monitor? Ideally it would also have a switch box so that he can toggle between the PC and the game box. Any suggestions?

It's possible to connect the console to the pc but Im not sure how.

I think you will need a video card with video input. You then connect the the console to that input.
