hello
i got a old laptop with no external drivers (no floppy drive and no cd drive). but it has got usb port and ethernet slots.
i have got an PC and another laptop. are there any suggestions so that i can install OS either from boot from network or any thing else.
i have tried installing the Xp by removing its hard disc and connect with other laptop. but it doesnt work with the old laptop. it just completes the process bar and strucks there.
Regards

I don't think it would work.

this is what i have in mind
1. If you have a decent amount of space on your laptop's hdd, try copying the I386 folder from the installation cd.

2. use a windows 98 startup disk and from the command line, type c:/>cd i386 (assuming you copied all the files to c:/i386)

3. then type c:/>i386/winnt

then follow the on screen instruction
