I attempt to de-fragment, and this is what I receive

I believe those are files made by chkdsk when it fixes errors...

Before running a defragment, run chkdsk to see if there are any drive errors.

BTW, is this is related to your other posts, you should have continued in the same thread, because it may be related. If it is, let me know and I'll merge the threads.
