You can probably go up to a Celeron 766 without much of a problem. If you're really lucky, you can upgrade to a 100 FSB Celeron, but don't hold your breath.

What are you trying to do that a 600 MHz Celeron isn't cutting it?

well rite now im in school on the net

and my computor cant handle the online tutor

so im renting a comptor and i cant aford to rent or buy a computor so i need to up grade

What kind of Internet connection do you have?

If you have dial up, most of your problem may be your connection.

Also what is the exact model Pavilion you have? Some of them can take PIII chips, which if it can take a bit faster one it would give you a little more 'bang for your buck'.
