hi,
I was just wondering if the 17" Mrbitchy Diamond View Monitor was any good ?
And,Does all 17" monitors have the same MAX resalution ?

don't know if all 17" monitors share the same resolution specs, but normally 1024 x 768 is the considered " best " for 17", just as 800 x 600 is considered best for 15".

Your max resolution depends on your vid card not your monitor without drivers for ATI card installed I can only get up to 800x600 after drivers 1280x1024 on a 17" optiquest Q71 Iset mine at 1024x768 anyhigher and I cant read text http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif

Actually ron your monitor does affect your resolution capablilities-older vga/svga monitors could not handle anything above 1024 x 768 with 60-75 hz ; now with the newer cathode tubes and proper drivers you can push your monitor's resolution as hi as it and the video card will allow. It's no longer a function of just the card, it is a pairing of the two.
