hello all
\i have a uqestion i am using a dell latitude laptop with a pentium 3 657 mhz processor with 512 mb of ram. i have avg anti virus and kaspersky internet security running as my anti virus software. my question is does this make my laptop run sluggish. it seems like ever since i installed kaspersky's internet security suite it has been runningn slow. i do not have a virus or spyware and i am wondering is the problem because i have two antivirus type programs running. \

my computer ran so well without any anti virus sprograms honestly i wish we didnt need them

also kaspersky keeps tellin me i am being attacked by a win messenger exploit/worm. i uninstalled this a while ago how can windows messenger be exploited when it does not exist on my machine!!??

p;lease help as i hate sluggish pcs

Make sure that both programs aren't running a resident/background scan at the same time. You are most likely running into both programs trying to do the same thing at the same time.

First off, we'll need some more details. Hardware info, Windows version, etc.

Then, exactly what Kapersky is saying with the warning.

Then, download HijackThis (http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip) and be prepared to post a log. (Place it into its own folder before running it)

Please close one your anti virus system to prevent more sluggish. And then please do follow mjc's instruction, which is download the HijackThis program. Run it and create a log file and then post it. The experts will help you thoroughly.
PLease trust us, we won't give trouble to you instead of helping you. HijackThis is only a program which can display all of your computer running processes and save it into a log file so that we can know what program is running and harming your computer system. For sure, it's not virus nor spyware or adware at all.
