Well, I am replacing a 3D Banshee 16 Mb PCI graphics card with a GeForce 2 MX400 64 Mb AGP card. However, the AGP port on my MS-6380 will not respond to an AGP card. It will boot up with a PCI. When I install the (or any for that matter) AGP card the system begins to boot then stops at Testing RTC. I took to a Best Buy and they tried several AGP cards and none of them would work. They think that the port is defective.

Now, I am hoping that there is a setting somewhere that I need to change in order for my new card to function...

Please, please help!

There might be a BIOS setting that you could check...

Some boards have a setting to initialize AGP first (although, if you have only an AGP card in there, it should eventually see it and install it)

Make sure AGP isn't disabled in your bios...or that there isn't a jumper on the mobo that needs to be switched to use an AGP card...
