After purchasing a GeForce MX400 64Mb card from this online company, I found that the card was defective. I contacted the company, they wanted to charge me a 15% restock fee to return a defective unit. The only other option they offered was a replacement. However, I would have to pay for frieght to and from to get a new card. I also originally paid 2 Day UPS to get the card.
I am very frustrated with this company. Just wanted to pass along a warning...
I have been working in the A/V industry for over 10 years. Believe me when I tell you that when a vendor returns defective merchandise to a manufacturer, they do it on the manufacturer's dime and NEVER get charged a restock fee. So, in effect, MixPC is making sure that they make a profit on every transaction.
I know that a restock fee of around $20.00 isn't really a huge deal. However, this kind of dishonest business practice really irritates me.
Anyway, stay away from MixPC. (BTW I found them through Price Watch, who does not have a rating system. Buyer beware!)
