Is there any software that is free and the function is, it is an ANTI-CRACKER software. like the BLACK ICE DEFENDER (though it is not free). Any suggestions please?
And if someone tries to crack in the system I would be able to trace or report their attacks. More or less it has this feature. THANKS!

It sounds like you are talking about a firewall... Kerio, ZoneAlarm and Outpost are the 3 main free options... I prefer Kerio, but others have their favorites... Here is an article that contains a number of ideas about security, I suggest you read it...

I am sorry but No. Not a firewall. I wanted a feature like in the BLACK ICE DEFENDER. The main reason why I wanted to avail for a free version is I am planning to switch from dial-up to a cable internet connection.. and of course, this includes the risk of having a static IP address. Cracked versions of software is also risky of downloading crack applications bundled with spywares, malwares or worse, virus.

Black Ice is a firewall...
If you are saying you are planning to download and use cracked software, there is nothing that will adequately protect you and we will not support you in doing it...
If you just want extra protection because you are going to broadband, read the article I posted.... However, if you haven't had those protections on dialup, your system is likely to be infected already, especially if you have been messing around with cracked software...

Okay. THanks, its way straightforward and crystal clear.
Cracked versions of software is also risky of downloading crack applications bundled with spywares, malwares or worse, virus.
And what i mean by this statement is that neither I do choose to download cracked version of software. But anyway thanks for the information. And I'm already using ZoneAlarm, though it gives a little bit stress to my PC.. is the KERIO more light to run? I'm also currently using AVAST.. though AVG is more light to run also, isnt it?
Yes, Kerio is much smaller, easier on the resources than ZoneAlarm.
Not sure about the Avast/AVG comparison...both are much 'lighter' than Norton (hmm...maybe both combined ar still lighter), but then again, a full grown elephant is lighter than Norton.
In essence, BlackIce is just another firewall, no matter what their hype says...the latest version adds a few more features, but over all, it is still just a firewall.
