First, I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.
I am using XP Pro, and I have noticed this problem with win media plr for some time. This happens all the time w/ mpg & mpeg vids and sometimes w/ wmv files. While I am watching the video, if I try to fast fwd by clicking on and sliding the progress bar, it jack the volume up so loud! The volume slider doesn't physically move on its own, but the sound is much louder than it should be and I have to click on the volume slider to get it back to the original level. Why does it do this and how can I remedy this annoying sound. It is particularly annoying when I am watching a funny clip in an email at work!! Thanks in advance.
