Accessing the Internet

I was recently attacked by numerous viruses and ever since then my Internet home page address now reads about:blank and I am unable to assign the homepage I desire or open its respected window for that matter. Because of this it's impossible for me to access the Internet at all even though the Internet itself works perfectly fine. Any help will be very appreciated.

Could you please be a little more specific as to what your problem is?

You can't reset your home page, but you can get online? :confused:

Actually Budfred and the rest had a rash of these due to a malware application a while back. I moved this here so they could advise the best order of removal without breaking stuff.
It would help to know the OS, so we can recommend the proper programs to start removing layers of the problem.
