I've got an Abit Siluro geforce2 mx400 (64megs). Right now I'm using nVidia's official 12.41 driver. Are there any other drivers out there (official and unofficial) that can give me better performance? I've tried 10.8 and 12.9 and both have no effect. Thanks.
Well basically, there are alot of them in between...also there are several tweaking guides, here (http://www.tweak3d.net/tweak/geforce/) is one for the Geforce 256 (many of the principles would be similar...), here (http://www.g256.com/guides/geforce/) is a general guide fo GeForce cards...

Go here, Guru3d.com (http://www.guru3d.com) for the latest drivers and info on the geforce cards. The newest drivers are the 14.4's, i've used them all from the original 6.53 up to the newest, and it really depends on your systems configuration as to how well they will perform, they do differently on everybodies system. You'll just have to experiment with them to find the ones best for your system.
I would highly recommend you get the Detonator destroyer, it's an excellant program to rid your system of any vestiges of nvidia's files when you are removing and reinstalling drivers.
