WIN XP/PRO/SP2 - dual booting with BiNG.
PROBLEM: The system hangs on the blue windows screen (the two tone blue that has loading personal settings on it). hitting <enter key> results in system beep and cntr-alt-del has no effect. (Need to use the reset button).

HISTORY: Prior to this, I was using Partition Magic to change a partition letter and during the execution of PM I received "system32 is missing or currupt" (not exact wording). I then went to my other OS and ran scan disk and norton disk doctor with no errors found. I used IE to look at /windows/system32 (of the non booting OS) and found many files (so i assume it is not missing).

Any ideas on how to get the partition to boot? what did I screw up?

If I do a repair/install of xp/pro, do i get to pick the disk/partitiion that will be repaired? or does it go the first HDD?

Prior to the part one would choose where to install an installation you should get a message that setup has detected prior WinXP installation(s) with a prompt to repair. You then enter the number of the list to initiate the repair of that item.
