I just ordered a Amd 1.4Ghz computer and was going to put in a drivebay fan. But most of the fans I see for the drive bay are all HD coolers. I am sorta a noob when it comes to this anyone have any suggestions on what would be a good quiet fan that would keep the whole system cool and not just the hd?
thanx

Unfortunately cooling and quiet seem to be mutually opposite terms these days. In order to keep your system at least adequately cooled you need not only the fan/heatsink combo on your processor but at least one case fan. Most times two (2) case fans are recommended-1 to pull air from the front, 1 to expel from the back.
At a minimum get a case fan and put it in the rear so that it draws air across and out over your processor/peripheral cards. My system sounds like a jet when it starts http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif , but it stays cool! and after awhile you learn to ignore the noise, ( or go crazy http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif )

HeyMusashi,
Welcome to the forum, Iisbob's advice is always right on. Indeed, if you follow him, you'll be a happy camper, ....I just figured since you were new to the forum you wouldn't know that you've already been answered by one of the best here. You may get a few more opinions, but everyone is gonna tell ya to get air into and out of your case with a 1.4 AMD processor. Good stuff, just have a tendency to run hot. My new case had an easy/obvious place to put a fan on the inside on the front of my case, but didn't have that space in the back. I figure with my power supply blowing out the back taking air from the inside and with my front of the case fan blowing in towards the back I'm getting an ample amount of air flow. My onboard specs bare this out. There are fans that are made now that will fit just about any space in a case if you want to spill the dough $ though.
peace
