I dont know if this the right forum to ask this question.Maybe WebMd or something. After a couple of minutes of writing on the keyboard my left hand starts too hurt. Is there some kind of wrist pad for your keyboard that will help? Anyone have one do they work? Where can I buy them? Thanks

There are wrist rests that are supposed to help and split keyboards too. The best advice is to go into a large consumer electronics/computer store (like BestBuy or CircuitCity) and look at the selection of keyboards and rests available and find one that is comfortable for you.

Besides the "natural" keyboards there are a few differnt things available. One that I like (not sure of the name) but it's a pad approx. length of the keyboard, 2 inches deep and 1/2 inch high.

You really want to avoide developing Carpal Tunnell Syndrome. Another thing that I find works really well for wrist stress is the Chinese massage balls. Essentially there 2 ceramic balls, about golf ball size, with lil' bells inside and you just circle them about in your hand or hands. Works great for me.

I haven't followed up Dan Mitchell's link, but would just like to say make sure you have a fully adjustable chair to sit on, ie don't slump, sit upright, arms horizontal with the keyboard. Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) is no joke - pianists have been suffering from it for yonks, with nobody paying any attention to the problem - and, of course, it wasn't called RSI. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
