hi guys i haven`t been in this web site for quite some time.....
i have an Averatec (yes i know it'sa piece of sh...) and i need to replace the female jack for the power cord. The cord was probably pulled and somehow broke in half inside th pc the female jack (i was able to open it a bit and see) and now it doesn`t make good contact which means that the power shifts from battery to wall outlet without control....anyway, i need to desolder the old jack and put a new one. I have the tools HOWEVER the problem is that i dont know how to open this sucker. More in detail i was able to remove all screwss and open 90% of it but there is still a spot on the right (where the wrist is when typing ) that does not come apart....i looked under the stickers and there is nothing...is really drving me nuts.......any clou?
