I'm sitting with the cash in hand, but the question still remains.. do i buy a 1Ghz AMD Thunderbird or go for the all too popular Pentium 3? What is the difference performance wise? Im a designer junkie who uses 3DStudio Max, Dreamweaver, programming, play 3D games and all that cool stuff so i need a system that will be reliable and fast. Does anyone truly know the difference between these processors, is there a difference, or are we just paying more for the name? Pleaseeee help.. the money is burning a whole in my pocket & i need to shop now!! Thanx.. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif

Welcome.... If you would prefer your shopping $$ to stretch farther and still realize better bench-marks accross the board, AMD is the solution. Luck.

Seriously, in order to the most "bang for your buck", AMD is the way to go.....
