Hi, i currently have a PC100 BX Pro 100MHz board with a Celeron 466MHz and SDram. I was thinking of upgrading to an Asus A7V266 with an Athlon
1.4GHz (266MHz FSB) and DDRram. Could you let me know if this is a decent set up and are there any ancilliaries i should think of getting (extra cooling has been mentioned along with a 400W power supply)
Also does ram manufacturer affect performance badly? who is the best?

Many thanks.

Go to tcwo.com , I would recommend the msi ddr board, the asus ddr board runs a little hotter, im thinkin cause they changed chipsets to ali instead of via. But go to newegg.com and get your cooling supplies, at least a 7000RPM heatsink and remember not to hook the heatsink to the motherboard hook it to the molex 4 connector.Go with the volcano cu+ or the golden orb thermal take.,for a low price solution. Also get your ram at crucial.com, they have the best ram.
