I'd like to buy a CD-RW to add to my PC. What are the best ones based on your personal experiences?
Thank you,

Hi,
It depends on how much you want to spend. There are some that cost several hundred dollars, but if you want to keep the cost down, I recommend a Hewlett Packard. They make exceptionally good peripherals. There are others that I have seen recommended, such as Acer, Plextor and a few others I can't remember right now. You can't go wrong with an HP, but that's just my opinion.
I just bought an HP at Staples on sale for $120. I also have an NEC writer, which works OK, but it uses "packet writing" technology, which is usually not supported by older CD-ROMS.
Have fun shopping.
Cheers,
