I am having trouble with Ad-Aware and I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. When I started up Ad-Aware(Free version) it said my definitions have been compramised etc.And I was recommended to delete my definitions from the Ad-Aware folder.
So I did and then restarted Ad-Aware and updated, everything seemed fine but when I started it up again it said the same thing.I have for now decided to un-install it to see if this has happened to anyone else.
So has anyone any idea whats going on?

No problems here (I have it running at the moment) the last updates installed into it was on the 8th July. So I wil update now and let you know if it is a corrupted update file from them.
EDIT
Just stopped and updated and now running Ad-Aware without problems again.
To be on the safe side post an HJT log for the gurus to have a quick look at

See if...
"Ad-Aware | Settings | General Options | Using Reference File..." points to [something like]...
C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-aware 6\reflist.ref [mine does, I'm guessing this might be your "Definitions"].
And check that file exists [mine is 1,347 kB].
Is it possible that Windows [which version?] is experiencing difficulty [possibly with something other than Ad-Aware?] and is automatically reverting to a saved copy of the "last known good configuration" [registry plus], which doesn't include registry settings necessary for the proper operation of Ad-Aware, so Ad-Aware is complaining that something specified by the "definitions" file is failing to work [probably cannot find the settings in the registry specified in that file that link to something needed].
Just my guess. :)
I just yesterday had terrible trouble because my drive letters were changed around [complicated] and programs on C: needed to find their data files [My Documents, emails, address book, favourites, Firefox profile etc] on D: but the partition now named D: didn't have those files on it.
Linkages are SO important!
Fixed it by manually renaming the partitions [lucky I was able to get enough to work to do that].

For definitions Ad-Aware is pointing to
C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\defs.ref
And I am running Windows XP Pro SP2.
I did a fresh install of Ad-Aware and the problem has stopped.
But now I can't get my hands on the add on I had that told me about this compramise. It was an add on for Ad-Aware that checks your definitions for problems.
Anyone know a direct link to the download?Or if maybe the add on was causing the problems?
And here is the HJT log just incase.

No thats not it I'm afraid.I have looked all over the Lavasoft site to no avail.
And have googled it quite a few times under different names.I remember getting it on the Lavasoft site though thats the thing thats annoying me!!
The tool I am talking about was a one task tool. All it did was check your definitions for corruptions, compramises etc. This is weird I am really surprised I can't find it!
