I am new here and at my wit's end. I have a 3 year old emachines that I have had continuous problems with (surprise! ;) ). I have a five year "warranty from Fry's, but everytime I take it in...for the same problem...they can never find anything wrong and charge me a $70 diagnostic fee to boot (not covered under warranty because they never find a problem, hmmm). Anyway, let me get to it...my computer will crash at different times. There's no specific thing I'm doing that makes it crash, there's no one time it happens...it just happens. It will reboot, but then it has a "Your computer has recovered from a serious error..." message, or something to that effect. The last time I took it in, they told me to buy a fan so I now have 2 fans inside it, they vaccuumed the inside and I was charged for all and told that was most likely the problem. Wrong. It continued doing the same thing. I have dealt with it crashing, but a few days ago, I turned the computer off at night and the next morning, I couldn't get the power button to start the computer. I messed with the cords, unplugging and replugging and finally got it to start up after about 30 minutes of this. I took it in to Fry's yet again, and they ran their tests and found nothing wrong again. I raised heck and refused to pay a $70 charge again. They say it is overheating, but I had it off all night again, and it wouldn't start this morning. Long story over, does anyone know what this could be? The Power Supply...the MOBO? Is Fry's ripping me off? I haven't added any new hardware in months, and I'm pretty positive that it is something to do with my computer itself. Does the Lemon Law apply to computers? Thanks for listening.

First of all, can you please type out what the error message roughly about? It may cause by the hardware failure most of the time. Feel quite angry for what Fry's had done on you, they did nothing but charge you twice for 'empty services'! Hope you don't mind I said so...
