$1000 USD? Do you have any parts you can re-use (like monitor, mouse, keyboard?) or do you need to buy everything?

What is your technical level? Would you be willing to build it yourself? Is this US dollars or?? I have built several machines in the last year based on an MSI barebones system that a local shop is selling. Complete tower for around $500 USD. Add a couple hundred to this for upper end vid card and sound and you would have a real nice machine. One of the ones I built is actualy being used as an online gamer now (Halo).

What are the exact details on the hardware you own? CRT or LCD monitor? Model number? Same for the mouse, keyboard, and PSU. The PSU is one of the two most important components in a PC, so I worry a lot about them.
