What version of Windows?
Make/model of the laptop...including CPU (type and speed), installed RAM, size of the drive, etc...
How are you installing the program...download, CD, etc?

Do you have enough memory for the program? As in, does your laptop meet the minimum system requirements? If your laptop has 64MB of RAM and the program requires 128MB of RAM, then there's your problem.

Windows XP PRO SP1.
I think the problem is lssas.exe Virus in my computer. i am trying to get read of it, i am trying to install new antivirus doesn't let me even after i go and delete the virus manually from Windows/system32 still doesn't let the antivirus to be installed.
i did have a zone alarm antivirus but it did have a clash with some thing and my CPU was going crazy and alwayes 100% i had to uninstall it and now i am trying to install Norton i doesn't let me to install
OK...do you have a USB flash drive? Does the laptop recognise it?
It the answer to both of those is yes, then you can use it and PortableClamWin (http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/antivirus/portable_clamwin)
Symantec has a tool (http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2003-102909-2446-99) to remove it that doesn't need to be installed and can be run from removable media.

Ok, so the "program" in question is actually Norton AV? No offense, but it would have been nice to know from the beginning that this is a security problem. Then we wouldn't have asked you dumb questions like "do you actually have enough memory?" We could have gone straight to questions like "do you have any security software installed right now?"
So do you have any other known virii? Do you have an anti-spyware program installed? What sort of internet connection do you have? It might be best to stay disconnected for now, to avoid catching any more nasties.
