i want to know how to replace my current boot screnn with what i want to...i dont know where to put the file im using winxp media center sp2

I have seen a book that showed how to do that. It was called windows xp annoyances. All that I remember is that you have to get corel paintshop pro x, I think adobe photoshop will too, and find the file that it uses (I forgot what it was called) Then open it up in either corel paintshop pro x or photoshop. Don't worry, the file looks blank, but you have to type in certain letters in options and decode it. Then put your own picture in it. But the file can only be 16 bit (I think. Maybe even less, so you might have to use photoshop to convert the photo to the correct amount of colors. Sorry if that didn't help much, but I think I don't remember much.

You just use reshacker to replace the 1033, in the 5 folder under bitmap that has winxp, with your picture.
