Doubt with Dual Channel RAM

hi, i am planning to upgrade my system. i m thinking of buying DDR2 667MHz RAM. (twin module, maybe 2x512MB). the problem is, here in india, the availability of dual channel DIMM kits is low and they are a lot costlier than in the US.

so in case if i can't afford it, can i go for two identical 512MB modules?? will they work just like a twin module? someone please help.

Have you looked at Newegg (www.newegg.com)? I just did a quick glance at their site and looked through the FAQ's on shipping. They use FedEx which I am sure goes to India. There is an FAQ specificly on using PayPal as well.

Why not? I think there will be no problem if your modules be identical.
