hey hey its me. the guy with new mobo that wouldnt work. Well after trying the very first thing they told me to do, the pc is working now. Although notthey way I want it to. First of I checked with motherboard monitor and speedfan, and i get 3 temps around 66, 72 and 37 deg C. Now i think the 37 is the case and that that is like normal. but the 66 and 72 is waaaaay to high me thinks. one is the cpu and the other the hdd. i think the 72 is the cpu. Now with MBM my mobo wasnt listed buti tried it anyway, but speedfan detects the sensors out of itself so i think that there is something horrible wrong. I know i removed the heatsink from the processor to check the specs and it had this little bloby glue thing. should that be it? must i put a new layer of that. And also my cpu fan that is on the heatsink is blowing towards to cpu is that ok or should it blow out. like pulling the heat out????? oh and i have a big room fan blowing inside the pc right now and still get those temps.

And the second thing is my ram. I have 8 ram strips:
not working
2 256MB PC133 single
1 64MB PC100 (CPU-Z says 125) double
working
1 64MB PC100 single
1 128 MB PC100 double
3 64MB PC100 double

so right now i have the 128 and 1 of the 3 64 MB wich al are doublesided. Now somebody told me that single sided rams wont work but the 64 mb one works unless its DS ofcourse but it doesnt look it. And i know that the mobo can go up to 512 MB so why o why doesnt it wanna take my 256 MB or the 64MB and such?
thx in advance

well first off I didnt see a edit button to edit my previous post so I made a new one.
And I just read that RAM clock speeds must be like the same for the FSB. well duh me says. But i also learn that because of this thing called SPD "faster" RAMs cant work with "slower" FSB in some cases. Now what I am trying to do is get those 256 PC133 to work. and the FSB of my MoBo is 66MHz. Aha!!! now i have been doing some searching and found a some socket 370 CPU's with 133 FSB. So corret me if im wrong but they will work then right? Right?

try to restart with out them then turn off the comp. and put then back in and trun it back on, if that doesn't work well they might be broken then

nah i know they are not broken. I'll think it has to do with the FSB being 66MHz and the RAMs 133MHz. So if it is that ill buy a new CPU with 13MHz. Now I just need someone the tell me if that will work.
