I am planning on an upgrade that will take place within the next few months. I am sticking with s939 cos I can't afford to buy another 2GB of RAM and the AsRock mobo is only available for s939. So far I have decided on this:
Athlon s939 3700+ (which will be overclocked to at least 4000+ speeds)
AsRock DualSata mobo PCIe/AGP (as I wish to keep my current gfx card, but I want the option to move to PCIe later - the reason for the upgrade)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 (for the processor)
Lite-on Black 16x dvd-writer (cos my current one is beige and it looks crap. I intend to buy the cheapest dvd writer out there.. I'm not fussy as long as its black!)
Now, either a good set of 2.1 speakers or a Xi-fi soundcard. Unfortunately, I only use 2.0 £9.99 speakers at the moment which are sufficient, but I think buying a Xi-fi to use with them would be a waste of money. Would getting a s300 hard disk (I fancy the samsung P120 spinpoint) be a better option? I am currently stuck with ATA100.
Any suggestions what to do? The budget is £200 +- £15 inc. p&p and scan.co.uk is probably where I'll get the equipment from.
