deddard: Sounds like a dodgy earth connection to me - has this ever happened with any other equipment? This is the very first time it has shown up. I'm trying to think when it occured last, so it's obviously something that doesn't occur very often and I have learned to live with it.
The Broadband Modem (Motorola SB5100 Series) is connected via USB. All my PC mains connections go into trailing blocks (it's surprising just how many separate plugs are required) connected up to a single mains outlet.
I've tried to grab a screenshot but it behaves like a video and can't be done. Mind you, I've not tried the usual advised method of setting the Harware Acceleration to zero to do this.
