i am considering this card, ive read great reveiws and it has very high clock speeds. but im conserned. here is the power supply that i have here (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=1273350&Tab=1&NoMapp=0)
and this is the videocard here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814130034)
if you read the requirments on the videocard, it states that it requirest a +12 Volt current rating of 20 Amps and the powersupply only offers a 12v at 18A
is this going to plague my computer with frequent crashes and problems, and not worth the trouble,
yes there are alot of other PS out there but this out comes with a case bundel for only 99 dollars.

If you've got the money for a factory OC'ed 7900 GT, you've got the money for a decent PSU capable of handling it. If you don't have the money for both, then don't bother. Spend less money on the vid card and more on the PSU. That Ultra modular PSU is crap and doesn't meet the requirements for the vid card. Given that, I think you already know what the outcome will be.
And come on! $99? There are members here on the forums that have spent more than that on the PSU alone, and not all of them went up to a 7900 GT. My advice is to save up a bit more money so you can at least afford a PSU that meets the requirements for the vid card, if not more. ATX 12V 2.03 - that's what you should be looking for in a modern PSU for a gaming machine.

I never have, but others have with good results. It really comes down to saving money at that point. I'm willing to spend a little more to get a shiny new component, but if you need to shave off some money then Newegg is the place to do it. ;)

this might be unfair to ask but ive been looking for a good case/psu combo for a long time and i was wondering do they even exist? i mean im going to be powering an intence rig, and i really cant skimp on the psu but does anyone know of a good case with a PSU
Cases with good power supplies preinstalled are very hard to find...
Good cases and good power supplies are easy to find, but not very cheap. If you are spending less than $100 on each, then they are only ok...not in the good to great range.

If you're building a high end rig with multiple drives, a dual-core CPU, and 1 or 2 higher end vid cards, then I dare say you really can't find a case + PSU bundle that will satisfy your system's needs. I don't know of a case that comes with a 600W+ ATX 3.03 PSU. They simply don't exist. A PSU of that caliber alone would be well over $120, so why would the case manufacturers bother?
What I do a lot of the time is find a mid-range case that includes a PSU. I then chuck the PSU into the bin of diagnostic parts and replace it with a good PSU. Never hurts to have a cheap 400W ATX 2.0 PSU lying around for those times when you're diagnosing a power problem.

Sorry - dont know how to post the link but
depending on your motherboard design scan are offering the following:
XFX 7950GX2 plus 750w Xclio SLi Certified PSU for £316 (GBP)
However - the 7950GX2 is an extended length card but remains exactly the same as the new 7950GX2 in every way - except the length of the card.
Now - that aint a bad deal.
Unfortunately because of the length of the card it may block sata ports.
Only you would know as you are the one with the motherboard - but the card measures 30" in length

i need a powersuppy with +12v@28A for my videocard to run in sliNo, what you need is a new ATX 3.03 PSU. These have dual +12V rails, among other new things. So you're looking for a new PSU with two +12V rails that together add up to at least 28A.
