View Full Version : System Sound Problems Help Please

ok i have sound with everything else i play videos,music and i could even play the system sounds when i click on them to play but now i have this problem out of no where first the tray volume control dont come up anymore ive unchecked it and rechecked it and still not there and when i go into control panel and go to sounds when i click on a system sound i cant preview it in there but when i go to browse and open the file in media player it plays just fine but it dont play in the preview and i dont have any system sounds playing when i boot etc etc...so i dont know what to do any suggestions on what could be wrong here?

What is your Windows version? (98, ME, XP ,Vista, etc)

i have the same problem m8, had it for months and still cant find a solution, im running xp with and sis 7012 chip on my ecs k7s5a motherboard

Had this same problem for months and finally found a fix for it... So I created a site to tell people how to fix it... www.NoSystemSounds.com (http://www.NoSystemSounds.com)

If you know anyone else having this problem please refer them to the site... Not yet listed on google but hopefully can get on first page with your help. :)

Generally, posting a link to your site on your first post isn't a great way to start here. You can hit some wrong nerves sometimes. I probably wouldn't call it spamming since you appear to be genuine and the site appears to be mainly benign, however that will be for the mods to decide.
