Hey everyone this is my first time posting here so it might seem like a stupid question but here goes.
its my first time upgrading my graphics card ever and the one i have now is intergrated i was wondering how i could tell if i needed an agp or pci card?if it matters?and what would be the best card i can get for about $100?

need more info - do you know what the make is of your motherboard?
or atleast tell us what make and model no. your pc is.

You have an old Socket A system with a Sempron 3000+. Fortunately, it has an AGP slot, and probably an 8x slot at that (judging from the NF2 IGP chipset). Unfortunately, your system probably only uses a 250-300W PSU. But still, your budget is lowly, so that shouldn't pose too much of a problem.
I'd recommend a GeForce 6600 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814133013) AGP version. Fits your budget and your system! :cool:

i just will tell you now because this is the first time your upgrading your graphics card, and you probably will **** it up. MAKE SURE YOU UNINSTALL THE INTEGRATED GRAPHICS DRIVERS BEFORE INSTALLING THE NEW GRAPHICS CARD. just looking out for u man.
