Hi! I am considering buying an Aopen 1632A cd-rw drive. Does anyone have anything to say pro/con about this drive.
Thank you

Hey,

CD-RW's are a commodity item nowadays. All things being equal, one is just about as good as another one.

I currently use NEC, LiteOn and HP cd writers, and they all do the job, with none of them being that much more outstanding than the rest.

Happy shopping!

The TDK VeloCD is supposed to be good too.

I recently got a LiteOn 16x10x40, it is pretty nice and it runs pretty quiet...which is something I like in a CD drive. It also was a little heavier than some of the others I've checked out...I think that contributes to its low sound level. but yeah what BB said is pretty much true...most are about the same except for price, although there is some truth to the best (Plextor, TDK) costing more, they do have some noticeable differences.
