well the only thing that i dont agree with is going for socket 939 when AM2 is cheaper (expept for ram) and has the next 2 years or so of upgradability. just a though, other then that, its a good build, i might jump the videocard up to a 1900xt or geforce 7900.

also another thing to keep in mind, if you are planning on playing alot of highend games, like oblivion, and if you want to future proof yourself a little better, you might want to go with 2gs of RAM.

I think he is getting 2GB ram. I would think that's what the (2) means. But I certainly agree with you on the AM2 suggestion. There is no reason not to go with socket AM2 right now.

Drop the Trend Micro security suite and use a free AV (AVG or Avast) and FW (Kerio or Sygate) and put the cash towards a better video card as soupnatizzle suggested. They work as good or better than the pay AV/FW's. ;) And if gaming with max settings is what you want I would put all the money you can towards the video card.

(I know a bunch of noob questions)
What do you think? Should I stick with the 512MB video card or do you think a 256MB video card will be sufficient? Also, my psu's main connector is a 20+4-Pin and my mobo's power pin is 24. Will that cause problems? Will using one video card on an sli mobo cause problems?

Plz give me your input asap. Im ordering the parts tomorrow!

Looks good to me. :)

You can drop down to a 256MB ram video card if the price is much lower since there are really not any games that can use 512MB, or if there is not that much different in price then go ahead and get it.

No problems using a single card in SLI mobo.

The 20+4 pin connector will work with either a 20 or 24pin mobo. The +4 is a little detachable section of the connector that allows this.

EDIT - I just took another look at that mobo. Nothing wrong with it, but I would go with one that has the latest chipset like this one (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130049). Unless you need support for more than 2 PATA devices, or you just must have SLI. Here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813127236) is one with SLI but it's about $30 more. If you don't plan on getting a second video card within the next 6 months we usually recommend you don't worry about SLI.
